Hi John, any place you are is a good place to be. I don`t post as often as I used to, as I`ve said all there is to say, but I still enjoy some levity, of which you often provide, as well as brilliant insights. So glad we are able to hook up again.
Reading your latest Silent Companion blog, let me venture to say,
I’m an ataxia person and struggle to get around with a stroller and some help of good American agencies. Blessings here.
I understand your bereavement. It took me ten years to banish thoughts of my ex. And I didn’t even like him, but our brains apparently take their sweet time to get unattached from thoughts we used to be attached to.
With feelings for your wife, NDEs will show you she is now well taken care of, or now takes care of herself well –whatever you prefer…
With feelings for you, life sends us all kinds of strange things to get through. I hope you take care of yourself well.
Thanks to this web-site and the videos of Dr. Alexander. I, too, think his are some of the best, but I also get good milage out of Mellon-Thomas Benedik's, Nancy Dawson's, Anita Moorijani's, and the rascally Dannion Brinkly's.
Don't worry, my friend. We all have doubts, that's just human nature! I am happy you wish to learn more of this phenomenon, it is more widespread than you imagine. I have experienced two NDLE (Near Death Like Experiences). The first involved such a calmness and warmth, accompanied by a 'remote viewing'; in that I 'saw' myself walking towards me as though 10' away and from a height of about 10'. To make this more unusual an experience, I noticed a brilliant white oval shape expanding from within my chest - it started as the shape of an ordinary egg. As it continued expanding, I noticed that long grey sparks were emanating from it. As I watched all this happening in my mind's eye, I began to feel very 'excited' by this feeling. It wasn't any type of excitement I had had before, the only way I can describe it is to say 'spiritual excitement'. This doesn't exactly make it any easier for the lay reader to grasp, I know, and I can only apologize for that.
It being sometime in 1981/2, I could not make out what I had just experienced. To this day, what I experienced and how it was experienced I am none the wiser. I was not on drugs (except Oxytetracycline-for acne), did not smoke and was not under the influence of alcohol. The only in common with my next experience, some four years later, was the fact that I was enjoying, what I believed, was a close relationship with Jesus. I was constantly talking with him, mentally, and under my breath, too.
Four years later, that feeling just hit me out of the blue, so to speak. It did so so subtle as having a feeling of no impact, but with total surprise! Only this time, I would say the feeling was three times as intense. I remember standing there with tears coming from my eye's and one of my colleagues asking me if I was alright? I could only reply that I now had absolutely no doubt that God was, indeed, real!
What you make of this I don't know, but there it is. Hope it helps.
